Felony Murder Rule

The Felony Murder Rule is a murder that occurs while a criminal is committing a felony. It can be during a robbery, drug related, kidnapping, arson and many other reasons.   Inherently dangerous felonies that endanger others lives do make criminals think before committing a criminal act that could possibly kill a victim that may otherwise had lived. One scenario would be a person standing in line at the bank while it is being robbed and he ends up having a heart attack because of the excitement of the robbery. It is not the robbers fault if the man is at the same place as the bank robber and has bad health, dying due to the excitement of the bank robbery. Yet you cannot prove that the man that had the heart attack would have had one whether the bank was robbed or not. The argument could be that the man in line that had the heart attack was in bad health before the bank robber encountered him. These extraneous circumstances go along with the territory of breaking the law. If the bank robber went into the bank without a gun and was fired at by Police thus the Police striking an innocent by stander and killing them the robber who has no weapon is yet responsible for the death of the innocent bystander.
